It was the perfect Sunday morning for a family outing. We parked at New Farm Park and caught the CityCat along the Brisbane River to South Bank Parklands.
Here's my shadow shot for Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday.
Most of my time was spent chasing this cheeky monkey
(wearing a pretty pink & yellow skirt by Hot Fudge).
Mr WAF enjoyed South Bank's playground, Mr TJ loved the ferry ride and Miss Am took great interest in the water running down the stairs at Riverside.
The kids braved standing at the front of the CityCat on our return. The ferry's Captain took advantage of the clear run ahead so we gained speed somewhat.
While I was busy making sure all hats were secure on little heads, my own hat flew off. It lifted up into the sky and right over the ferry roof. I thought my brown cap, which reads "I'd give up chocolate but I am no QUITTER", was lost forever!
Next thing I know there's the sound of cheering and clapping from the back of the boat. As luck would have it, one of the passengers was an alright catcher and my cap was rescued.
Lovely, fun shadow shots for the day! Hope the rest of your weekend is fun and lovely!

Lucky catch! I've lost count of the number of hats I've lost. They're always blowing off my head...
What a lovely day out you guys had! I enjoy the citycats but do find them terribly hot. I was on one on Friday & just couldn't find a comfortable spot anywhere. Outside is nice if they pick up some speed, but I always seem to catch the slow moving ones. At least my hat remains safely planted on my head on the slow ones. So I can't complain. But I already did, so that previous sentence makes no sense :)

Nothing as much fun chasing cute monkies though, *wink...
I don't whine if I cath her and bring her to the ice cream stand round the block.
You captured such wonderful shadows around. You're a lucky lady. Me here? struggling as you see snow up to my knees, but hey! it's beautiful though!
A blissful SS sending to you and ur fam

Nice story. Glad your hat was back. You have 3 cute little kids and looks like everyone had a great time.
Nice Shadow shots.

If I had caught that hat, there's no way you'd ever get it back. It would be sent express post straight down to Sydney to my chocaholic daughter.
Delightful shots of the children - I must say that cheeky monkey has exquisite dress sense!
